Personal auto insurance is the policy for vehicles used as personal cars — liability to others, and, when purchased, collision and comprehensive for the vehicle itself. California and Texas both require liability coverage to drive. It is not commercial auto. A personal policy typically excludes or sharply limits vehicles used for the business.
Kavana Insurance Inc. places personal auto for California and Texas drivers. Construction is the commercial face of the agency; this page is a quieter personal-lines product. Licensed California insurance agency, License 6016951. Licensed in Texas. Office: 915 Highland Point Dr Suite 250, Roseville, CA 95678. Call (916) 545-3202.
What a personal auto policy can include
Liability
Bodily injury and property damage you cause to others — including passengers in some cases. States set minimums; many drivers carry more.
Collision
Damage to your own vehicle from a crash, regardless of fault, subject to the deductible. Liability-only policies do not include this.
Comprehensive
Covered non-collision losses such as theft, fire, vandalism, and certain weather. Deductibles apply. This is not a commercial auto form.
Uninsured / underinsured motorists
Helps when the at-fault driver has no insurance or not enough. Terms follow the state and the form.
